What IS a Sugar Glider?

If you follow me on Twitter
you may have noticed that I have been posting a lot about Luna.

Luna is my female Sugar Glider.
I have had a few people talk about how cute she is
but I have had more people ask me WHAT she is.
I hope this explains.

Sugar Gliders are marsupial native to Australia.
They are nocturnal sap suckers that can glide through the air.
Luna loves apples, pineapple and blueberries,
broccoli carrots and corn
but isn't really interested in peaches, peppers and carrots.

Here, she is eating a yogurt snack.

Her favorite protein is chicken baby food and eggs.
And she adores crickets and mill-worms.

Luna has a large cage so that she has plenty of room to run and play.
This looks almost just like her cage.

Sugar Gliders are colony animals, so we are looking for her a buddy.
Or 3.

We are actually picking up a male Friday!
They call him Widget, but that will change.

Any other questions about gliders?
Ask me!
