The Man told me...

Dum Da Da Dum!!

We are planning our wedding for next year!!

[Insert OMFG here]

Our family has been through a lot the past month,

with 2 family members dying...

2 beloved dogs dying...

a seizure...

and

H1N1.

The Man told his mother that he doesn't want to put off our wedding any longer.

We don't plan on having a huge blow out wedding.

We're taking the family and going to DC to get married.
(It's one of our favorite spots and that was where we had our first vacation together.)

I'm so excited, ya'll!!

Does anyone have any stree free tips for me?

It looks like I have a lot to do in a short amount of time!!

My husband and I planned our family wedding and had it on Oct. 31, but when we were in Maui Hawaii his parents offered to help us do a small wedding on the beach, just us and his parents and siblings. We planned it in 2 days. We got the dress from the Black & White Market, we got the rings. We had dinner at a fabulous restaurant. It was small and amazing. We the big, more traditional wedding still on Oct 31 and everyone loved it.

I recommend keeping it small, so it can be an intimate affair. Having the dinner done at a restaurant means less for you to plan, though you may want to make your reservations as soon as possible and choose a place with a private room for you.

Congratz!

Congratulations!!! I'm happy for you!!!

Our wedding was just a trip to the court and a lunch at a local bar near the court. It was just him and I and our witnesses. Our parents were very angry we got married without telling them, but we thought it was better like that.

The money we were going to use for the wedding, we used it to have our house built.

So far, no regrets.
